3, We are friends, aren't we?

In the Velvet Room, Igor explains that Personas are strengthened by the bonds one makes with others, and Margaret notes that their guest has formed the bond necessary for the Magician Arcana so far.[4]

Chie grows concerned after seeing Yukiko on the Midnight Channel, but is assuaged when Yukiko calls her to say she is taking time off from school to help her family's inn; Yukiko's mother fell ill from stress caused by the investigation of Yamano as she attended the inn prior to her death. Before leaving school, Yu is approached by another student who asks him to join the basketball club, but Yu turns down the offer and heads home with Yosuke. That night while watching the Midnight Channel, Yu sees Yukiko dressed as a princess proclaiming she is searching for her "prince on a white horse" before running off into a castle.[5] The next day, Yosuke reveals two fake swords he found believing they will help in the TV world, but both he and Yu are arrested when an officer notices them. At the station, Adachi releases the boys as Chie catches up. She reveals that Yukiko has gone missing, prompting Adachi to say that the police believe Yukiko may be involved with the murders. Upset by the accusations, Chie tells the boys that they must go into the TV world to save Yukiko. While exploring Yukiko's Castle, Chie wanders ahead. She enters a room resembling a bedroom where she hears Yukiko's thoughts about being useless without Chie. While that is occurring, Chie's doppleganger appears, scoffing at Yukiko and liking how Yukiko submits. When Chie rejects these accusations, her other self transforms into a Shadow that the boys fight, with Yu discovering his ability to use other persona to battle. After the battle, Chie accepts that the only thing she cares about is Yukiko's friendship causing the Shadow to transform into her Persona: Tomoe Gozen. The group leave the TV world unable to find Yukiko, but vowing to rescue her before the next foggy night.

2. The Contractor's Key

In the Velvet Room, Igor and Margaret present a key to their guest, welcoming him to return whenever he wishes. Margaret also reveals the guest's Persona is a Wild Card, providing infinite possibilities.

With Teddie's help, the trio to return to their world. The next day, Yukiko rejects a disturbed student's request for a date; while discussing the student, Yosuke reveals his plan to take Saki to see a movie, but before class starts everyone is called into an assembly where they learn that she died. Rumors go around that her corpse was found in the same way as Yamano's. When Yosuke reveals that he saw her on the Midnight Channel he proposes the theory that people who appear on the Midnight Channel die and furthermore that the TV world is somehow connected to the deaths. Yu and Yosuke return to the TV world with Chie remaining behind holding a rope they believe will tether them to the real world. Once they enter the TV, the rope is severed, leaving Chie alone and frightened. In the TV world, Teddie accuses Yu and Yosuke of pushing people in, leading to their deaths. After they discover that his body is hollow, they manage to convince him otherwise and offer to help find the culprit. Teddie leads them to the Twisted Shopping District, which mirrors Inaba's Shopping District, where they find the Konishi family's liquor store. Inside, Yosuke hears Saki's suppressed thoughts about her hatred towards him and his association with Junes. Suddenly, a doppelganger of Yosuke appears, claiming to be the manifestation of his boredom of the countryside. Yosuke denies these claims, causing the doppelganger to turn into a Shadow. During the battle, Yu manages to make Yosuke accept the thoughts his Shadow expresses, allowing Izanagi to defeat it transforming it into Yosuke's Persona: Jiraiya. Yu and Yosuke leave the TV world, resolving to find the culprit.

1. You're myself, I'm yourself


Title: You're myself, I'm yourself Writer: Yūko Kakihara Original airdate: October 6, 2011Inside a limousine, Igor, and his assistant Margaret, introduce themselves to the unseen visitor, and explain the nature of their location, the Velvet Room, a place that exists between "dream and reality".[2] Igor mentions something special is in store for their guest.

Yu Narukami awakens to find the train he has been riding reached the rural city of Inaba where he will live with his uncle, Detective Ryotaro Dojima, and his daughter, Nanako. Yu begins classes at Yasogami High School the following day, with the judgemental Kinshiro "King Moron" Morooka as his homeroom teacher. Elsewhere, Saki Konishi cuts class and discovers the corpse of TV announcer Mayumi Yamano hanging from a TV aerial. Later, Dojima and his partner Detective Tohru Adachi investigate the crime scene. Back at Yasagami, Yu prepares to go home when Chie Satonaka and Yukiko Amagi introduce themselves. When they offter to walk home with him, Yosuke Hanamura interrupts, causing a scene. The next day, Yu befriends Yosuke, and they, along with Chie, head to Junes, a department store Yosuke's father manages, to celebrate. While there, they meet Saki, and Chie brings up the Midnight Channel, a strange "TV show" that appears on rainy midnights. As it rains during the night, Yu confirms the rumor when the Midnight Channel comes on and he sees Saki on the TV. As he places his hand on the screen, he is nearly pulled in, but manages to free himself. Yu recalls the event to his friends the following day. Yosuke claims Yu was dreaming, but he and Chie want to see what will happen if he used a larger TV. They head to Junes where Yu sticks his hand into a widescreen TV shocking Yosuke who knocks them all into the TV where, on the other side they enter a world shrouded in fog. As they investigate, they find a room with a noose and and encounter aanthropomorphic bear Teddie who hands Yu a pair of glasses allowing him to see through the fog. Suddenly, they are attacked by creatures Teddie calls Shadows. Just as the group are pinned down, Yu's power awakens as he summons his Persona, Izanagi, to defeat the Shadows.
